ANRS Maladies infectieuses émergentes

Dr. Solène Denolly is researcher at Inserm. She is an expert in molecular and cellular virology and she has over 10 years of experience in fundamental and translational research.

After obtaining her PhD in 2018 on the molecular and cellular biology of Hepatitis C virus at CIRI (International Center for Infectious Disease Research) in Lyon, France, she completed her first postdoctoral fellowship there, working on HCV and SARS-CoV-2, with projects on host-pathogen interactions. After receiving a grant from the Humboldt Foundation, she moved to Heidelberg, Germany, to work in Prof. Bartenschlager’s group at the Center for Integrative Infectious Diseases from 2020 to 2023, during which time she developed several projects on DENV and ZIKV leading to the discovery of new proviral host factors. She then obtained a permanent position in France and created her own research group at the CRCL – Cancer Research Center of Lyon working on tick-borne emerging viruses including CCHFV and other bunyaviruses.

Solène Denolly is a laureate of the PEPR MIE Junior Chair program with her project VISTA aiming at investigating host factors associated with virus-induced structures to design antiviral strategies against Orthonairoviruses.
